COME CRAFT DURING OUR OPEN STUDIO SESSIONS
What is Open Studio?
Welcome to Open Studio—an unstructured, two hour process-based art experience where adults and children alike are free to explore, relax, and create. You’ll find several “invitation-to-create” tables and collaborative projects, each designed to spark imagination and connection.
Spend your two-hour session however you wish:
- Paint or draw on paper, canvas, wood, or fabric.
- Sculpt with clay or dough.
- Collage from our colorful array of textures and shapes.
- Make jewelry.
- Try watercolor, acrylics, or printmaking techniques.
- Design, build, and play with materials in unexpected ways.
For Adults:
- Reconnect with creativity and presence.
- Enjoy stress relief through mindful, hands-on artmaking.
- Take a break from daily demands and nurture your own self-expression.
For Children:
- Build creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills.
- Strengthen fine motor abilities through tactile play.
- Experience the joy of making art without pressure.
When is Open Studio?
Weekend Open Studio sessions are available all summer long!
Saturday + Sunday 10 AM - 6 PM.
Do I need to reserve a session online?
Open Studio spots are limited so everyone has plenty of room to create comfortably!
We recommend reserving your spot online in advance — sessions often fill up, and walk-ins may be turned away when we reach capacity.
FYI: everything you need to know
- Creative Fun for All Ages! All ages are welcome. For independent explorers over 6, drop-off is available, but must follow all studio policies.*
- Open Studio is $25 per child. Adult is free with paying child or $25 to come on their own to create.
- If both parents come, second adult is $12.
- No outside food or drinks and all food/drinks must be consumed while seated at the white snack tables.
- To enhance the overall studio experience for our young creators, we have established the following policy for drop-offs of children aged 6 and older: No Consecutive Drop-Offs.
- Parent/Guardian Responsibility of Drop-Offs: Parents or guardians must pick up their child when the session ends or stay and join them for the next session.
- Children 3 and under must have a parent accompany them at each table/station.
- Create Team members are not considered chaperones, as their primary role is to facilitate the art activities and provide guidance, rather than direct supervision.
- Everyone is expected to clean up after themselves.
- Please share art supplies (no need to hoard!).
- Please note that all children, regardless of age, are expected to follow our studio policies which includes not throwing sensory items around the studio.
- If your 5-year-old has previously attended our camps or classes and has demonstrated independence in creating art (with a little initial guidance), we may be able to accommodate them for drop-off. Please contact us directly to discuss this option.
- Babies not yet walking are free with paying sibling.
*We recommend signing up online, especially for morning and weekend sessions because they do fill up. We don't want to turn anyone away, but we limit the amount of people in the studio to maintain a calm (but fun!) environment.
